If you are traveling to the symposium from outside the Pittsburgh area, please consult the relevant set of information for driving directions to Duquesne University:


From the North via I-79:
Use Exit 72 (I-279 South). Follow I-279 South to Exit 8A (Veterans Bridge). Cross Veterans Bridge and take Seventh Avenue/Sixth Avenue exit. Follow Sixth Avenue ramp to Ross Street. Turn left on to Forbes Avenue. Follow Forbes through three traffic lights; Duquesne University parking garage is on the right.

From the South via I-79: Use Exit 59A (I-279 North). Follow I-279 North to Exit 6A (I-376East). Proceed on I-376 East less than one mile to Exit 1D (Grant Street). Follow Grant Street five blocks to Forbes Avenue; turn right on Forbes. Follow Forbes through four traffic lights; Duquesne University parking garage is on the right.

From the East via I-76 (Pennsylvania Turnpike) Use Exit 57 (I-376 West). Follow I-376 West to Exit 1D (Second Avenue). Proceed on Second Avenue approximately one-quarter mile to Ross Street. Turn right on Ross Street, proceed three blocks and turn right onto Forbes Avenue. Follow Forbes through three traffic lights; Duquesne University parking garage is on the right.

From the West via I-76 (Pennsylvania Turnpike): Use Exit 28 (U.S. 19). Follow U.S. 19 South approximately one mile to I-79 South. Proceed on I-79 South to Exit 72 (I-279 South). Follow I-279 South to Exit 8A (Veterans Bridge). Cross Veterans Bridge and take Seventh Avenue/Sixth Avenue exit. Follow Sixth Avenue ramp to Ross Street. Turn left on to Forbes Avenue. Follow Forbes through three traffic lights; Duquesne University parking garage is on the right.

From the Airport area via PA Route 60 and U.S Route 22-30 Follow PA Route 60 South to U.S. Route 22-30 East. Route 22-30 becomes I-279 North at junction with I-79. Follow I-279 North to Exit 6A (I-376East). Proceed on I-376 East less than one mile to Exit 1D (Grant Street). Follow Grant Street five blocks to Forbes Avenue; turn right onto Forbes. Follow Forbes through four traffic lights; Duquesne University parking garage is on the right.

Accomodations

The Wecht Institute has reserved a limited number of rooms for symposium participants and out-of-town attendees at the following three hotels. Rates and amenities are comparable, so your decision as to where to stay will depend upon how close you wish to be to the symposium and what sorts of extra-curricular options you wish to have. All three hotels will provide transportation to and from the symposium. Whichever hotel you choose, we recommend that you reserve a room as soon as possible. When doing so, please mention that you are attending this program at Duquesne University in order to receive the discounted room rate.
