Donald B. Thomas, Ph.D.

Donald B. Thomas, Ph.D. is a scientist with the federal government specializing in research relevant to international quarantine issues and invasive pest species. The author or co-author of more than 80 scientific publications, including books and chapters in the field of entomology, Dr. Thomas garnered international attention in 2001 for an article published in the British forensic journal Science & Justice, "Acoustical Evidence in the Kennedy Assassination Revisited." He received his doctorate from the College of Agriculture at the University of Missouri in 1980, has held postdoctoral research appointments at the University of Arizona and the University of Nebraska, and is currently a research associate of the Nebraska State Museum and the Carnegie Museum of Natural History. Thomas is recognized for his research on parasitology in Latin America. He has also worked in North Africa on assignment to the United Nations. Thomas presently works and resides in Weslaco, Texas.
