Robert K. Tanenbaum, Esq.

Robert K. Tanenbaum, Esq. is a nationally known attorney, legal expert and media commentator who has been a successful prosecuting attorney and a high-profile defender. From 1967 to 1977, he served as deputy chief counsel for the House Select Committee on Assassinations, investigating the murders of President John F. Kennedy and the Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr. Having never lost a felony trial and having convicted hundreds of violent criminals and repeat offenders, he is one of the nation's most successful prosecuting attorneys. As an assistant district attorney in New York County, he ran the department's Homicide Bureau, served as chief of its Criminal Courts Bureau and was in charge of the legal staff training program. Other highlights of his legal career include serving as a special prosecution consultant on the Hillside Strangler case, defending Amy Grossberg in her sensationalized baby death case, and representing eight black plaintiffs in a groundbreaking racial profiling case in Beverly Hills. A member of the state bars of California, New York and Pennsylvania, Tanenbaum has taught at the Boalt Hall School of Law for the past four years and continues to conduct continuing legal education seminars for practicing lawyers. The bestselling author of two non-fiction books and 14 novels based on his prosecutorial experiences, he also served two terms as mayor of Beverly Hills. Born in Brooklyn, New York, Tanenbaum attended the University of California at Berkeley on a basketball scholarship and received his law degree from Boalt Hall School of Law.
