Solving the Great American Murder Mystery:
A National Symposium on the 40th Anniversary
of the JFK Assassination

Anthony Summers

Anthony Summers is the author of six best-selling books, including Not in Your Lifetime (previously titled Conspiracy), an investigation into the John F. Kennedy assassination; Official and Confidential: The Secret Life of J. Edgar Hoover; and The Arrogance of Power, a biography of President Nixon. Before he began his writing career, he was a television producer and journalist for the BBC, where his documentaries included specials on Vietnam, the Palestinians, drug trafficking, and the only interview with Andrei Sakharov upon his being awarded the Nobel Prize. Mr. Summers contributes articles to Vanity Fair, as does his wife, Robbyn Swan, an American journalist who has worked with him for the past 10 years. All but one of Summers’ books have been used as the basis for television documentaries, both on the BBC and in the United States. The exception, Honeytrap, about the Profumo sex/spy scandal, was filmed for the cinema as Scandal, starring John Hurt.
