A National Symposium on the 40th Anniversary of the JFK Assassination Robert J. Groden Robert J. Groden has been a leading researcher and critic of the Warren Commission Report and the investigation of the assassination of President John F. Kennedy since 1973. His own investigation into the photographic and medical evidence began in 1964. Groden was staff photographic consultant to the House Select Committee on Assassinations from 1976 through 1979, and it was his photo-optical work, presented on national TV and before Congress in 1975, that sparked a new wave of public interest in the assassination and led to the formal reopening of the case in 1976. Groden was a technical consultant to Oliver Stone on the production of his film JFK and has co-authored several bestselling books on the subject, including High Treason and The Killing of a President, the first ever photo compilation book on the subject.
